Over the past several years, I have built a photographic archive of rocks from places I have visited. Some of these rocks are in my collection, and many are ones I wanted to add but have left behind. I assemble these photographic rocky shards into new rocky surfaces in my collages. While doing this, I consider how these fragments are part of massive rock structures that are developed and transformed through transportation and erosion and connected to other parts of the globe. I assemble and re-configure, making new, hypothetical rock formations.
